Recording of Lectures Policy
Overview
Students with the recording of lectures accommodation are approved to record lecture or theory based material presented by the instructor. At the time of the accommodation approval, students are informed that recordings are only approved for lectures. Each semester, students are required to complete an E-Agreement within the AIM system, listed below:
Recording of Lectures E-Agreement
Please read the following terms associated with using the Recording of Lectures accommodation.
Students agree that in audio recording academic lectures, they will use the recordings only for personal educational benefit.
Students agree that they will not release recordings to others, post recordings on the internet, or disseminate any part of the recordings or course materials to others, or in any other way, prevent the instructor’s ability to copyright the lecture.
Students agree that only lecture/theory based information shall be recorded. Audio pertaining to peer questions, small group discussions, or confidential information shall not be recorded at any time. If a course or portion of the course involves personal comments or private patient information that would be inappropriate to record, student will stop audio recording and only resume recording when/if lecture resumes.
With my electronic signature, I agree to the terms listed.
Students are required to complete the E-agreement prior to recording lectures.

Recording of Lectures Exceptions
If a course is primarily group work, shared personal experience, clinical/client/patient confidential information (e.g. clinical group supervision), or is predominantly outside of a didactic setting, then recording of lectures may not be a reasonable accommodation.
Please work with DAS to explore other options if recording of lectures is not a feasible accommodation.
