Design For Good: Change the World Through Graphic Design

Pre-College Summer Programs

Get inspired to see design as a calling to impact the world for Christ! Work on projects that address real-world challenges and discover how creativity can drive community transformation. Through a Christ-centered approach to design thinking, you will learn how purpose and visual communication work together.

Explore core design fundamentals such as typography, branding and identity, through purposeful communication. Using Adobe Creative Suite software, you’ll incorporate learned skills and a Christian worldview into posters.

Cost

The cost for this program is $1,950 per student ($1650 for students from partner schools). This includes a week of immersive college-level courses taught by George Fox faculty, convenient on-campus lodging, three meals per day in the dining hall, and evening programming.

Assistant Professor of Art and Design

Marvin Eans is an assistant professor of graphic design who joined the university in 2021 and serves as director of internships, with a research focus on graphic design, branding, and empathy design. He brings extensive teaching and industry experience, having taught both online and in-person courses at multiple universities, and he’s worked professionally as an art director, creative director and graphic designer. He holds an MFA in graphic design from Savannah College of Art and Design and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Ball State University.
